Achieving true happiness requires a transformation in the outlook, in the way of thinking, and that's not so simple. This requires applying many different things from different directions. You should not have, for example, the idea that there is only one key, a secret that, if it is to reveal, everything will go well. It's like take care of that body, you need different vitamins and nutrients, not just one or two. Similarly, for happiness is to use a variety of approaches and methods, overcome negative states varied and complex. We can change and transform, but only through training. In Buddhist practice there are several methods for keeping a cool head when something disturbing. Repeated practice allows them to reach a point where the negative effects of a shock not go beyond the level surface of our mind, like waves that agitate the ocean's surface but have no great effect in its depths.
